Its fleet comprised 181 operational aircraft, with a contractual passenger fleet totaling 185. Founded in 2008, Azul S.A. maintains its headquarters in Barueri, Brazil. However, on May 28, 2025, Azul S.A., alongside its affiliates, initiated voluntary Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
